Original Story @ 6:30 a.m.: Thousands of Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative members west of Brenham are without power this (Tuesday) morning.
According to Bluebonnet’s online outage map, the outages are concentrated around FM 389, Old Mill Creek Road and Windy Acres Road.
As of 6:30 a.m., approximately 2,500 members are affected.
Bluebonnet Public Affairs Manager Will Holford says the outage originates in a substation that services the area north and west of Brenham. Multiple crews are headed to the substation to determine the cause of the outage and restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
According to Holford, control center operators and crews are working in the meantime to reroute power through unaffected power lines in order to restore power to as many members as possible.
Holford says an estimated time of restoration will be provided once the cause of the outage is determined.
Thank you Bluebonnet for your quick response. Prayers to all the linemen working to get power restored.
