VICTIMS IDENTIFIED IN DEADLY WASHINGTON CO. FIRE; NO FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED, SAYS SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Authorities have identified the two victims in a deadly fire Tuesday morning that destroyed a home in Washington County.

The bodies of 59-year-old Nancy Marie McGee and 58-year-old Robert Lee Moore Jr. were discovered as first responders were called to a structure fire around 12:30 a.m. in the 400 block of New Years Creek Lane, off of Highway 105.

Upon their arrival, they found a camper-type trailer fully engulfed in flames.  The bodies were located when the fire was extinguished.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant David Blakey said the two were cohabitants in the residence.  Their bodies were transported to the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsies.

Lt. Blakey said the sheriff’s office is still working with the State Fire Marshal’s Office to determine the cause and origin of the fire, but no foul play is suspected.
