POLICE RESPOND TO HIT AND RUN

  

The Brenham Police Department responded to a Hit and Run accident Tuesday.

They report that Tuesday night at 11:35, Officers were dispatched to a theft at the 2200 block of South Market Street. The suspect vehicle struck another vehicle and then fled scene. The driver, Dustin Darrell Head, 42 of Brenham, of the suspect vehicle was located a short time later along with front seat passenger Christopher Shane Hassler, 43 of Iola.  A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted. Head and Hassler were both placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Jail. Head was booked in for Leaving the Scene of Accident, and Hassler was booked in for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
