FOUR ARRESTED IN WASHINGTON CO. AFTER DRUGS SEIZED DURING TRAFFIC STOP & AT RESIDENCE
A multi-agency operation led to the arrest of four people in Washington County on numerous charges related to drug trafficking.
According to DPS, authorities stopped a vehicle around 1:45 p.m. Friday at the gas station at the intersection of Highway 36 North and FM 1948. Approximately 10 kilos of methamphetamine were located during the traffic stop.
The driver consented to a search of a residence on Smoky Road. There, DPS reported finding 2,590 grams of promethazine, 90 grams of powdered cocaine, five gallons of liquid methamphetamine and various drug conversion items.
The driver and three other suspects at the residence were arrested. Among the charges are Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Abandoning/Endangering a Child, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Failure to Identify.
DPS is not releasing the names of the suspects at this time pending further investigation.
The operation was conducted by the DPS Criminal Investigation Division, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and other local law enforcement agencies.
I feel sorry for the children—-Living in the home with the drug activity.
