BURTON BASKETBALL SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER WITH SOMERVILLE
The Burton Panther Basketball Teams split a doubleheader against Somerville last (Tuesday) night.
In the opener, the Burton Lady Panthers picked up a 72-48 win over the Somerville Lady Yeguas. Tiara Burns led Burton with 28 points, while Ciara Burns added 23 points. Adison Harmel finished with 10 points.
The Lady Panthers are 4-4 in district, while Somerville drops to 0-8.
In other district games: Normangee beat Snook 37-22.

Somerville improves to 5-1 in district, while Burton drops to 1-5.
Next up, Burton will travel to Normangee on Friday. The Lady Panthers play at 6:15pm, followed by the Panthers at 7:30pm.
In other district games: Mumford beat Iola 62-40, while Normangee defeated Snook 58-46.
