DEADLINE MONDAY TO REGISTER FOR MARCH 5 PRIMARY ELECTION

  

The Washington County Elections Office is reminding voters of the upcoming deadline to register to vote in the March 5th primary election.

Anyone who is not registered to vote or needs to update their voter registration address has until Monday to do so. 

Voters can access registration forms or check their registration status at www.votetexas.gov.  They must complete the application, print, sign and have it mailed and postmarked by Monday or sooner. 

Anyone who recently moved within the same county can update their registration at Texas.gov or at the Elections Office at the Washington County Courthouse, Suite 105.  Updating online will require the voter unique identifier number on their voter registration card or through the My Voter Portal.

The deadline to submit ballot-by-mail applications for the primary is Friday, February 23rd.  Postmarked applications received after this date will be rejected and the voter will be directed to either vote during early voting or on Election Day.

Early voting will run between February 20th and March 1st in the lobby of the Washington County Courthouse Annex.  Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. February 20 – 23, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on February 24th, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on February 25th, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. February 26th – March 1st.

Election Day is March 5th.  Voters will go to their designated polling place according to their precinct number to cast a ballot.
