THREE CALLS BETWEEN LATE SATURDAY MORNING, SUNDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls between late Saturday morning and late Sunday night.

Shortly after 11:15 a.m. Saturday, the department was dispatched to First Baptist Church, 2715 South Market Street, for a report of an alarm sounding.  Firefighters arrived and found the alarm was set off accidentally by cooking.  They reset the alarm and returned to service.

At 6:15 p.m., units responded to a home in the 2500 block of Airline Drive for a smoke detector not working.  They replaced the smoke detector and returned to the station.

Around 11 p.m. Sunday, BFD members were called to H-E-B, 2508 South Day Street, for an alarm sounding.  Nothing was showing from the exterior of the building when they made location.  Units attempted to reset the system but were unable to, so they advised an employee to have the alarm company come out and check the system.
