FOUR CALLS FRIDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department assisted at four calls on Friday.
Shortly before 1:45 p.m., the department was dispatched to Kruse Village, 1700 East Stone Street, for an alarm sounding. Nothing was showing from the exterior of the building when firefighters made location, but they learned that an employee had reset the alarm prior to their arrival.
At 2 p.m., firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at Domino’s, 401 Highway 290 West. As with the previous call, the department found nothing showing from the outside of the building and discovered an employee had already reset the alarm.
Just past 6 p.m., units went out to a home in the 1100 block of Briscoe Street for a report of an alarm. They made location and found a bad battery in the detector, so they replaced the battery and returned to service.
At 7:45 p.m., BFD members received a report of a transportation incident with entrapment in the 17900 block of Highway 290 West. They found one person entrapped and helped EMS remove the patient from the vehicle. Firefighters say the patient was airlifted in unknown condition. The department then provided lighting at the scene for DPS to perform its investigation.
