BRENHAM CUB BASEBALL TO OPEN SEASON THIS (MONDAY) EVENING

After two weeks of scrimmages, the Brenham Cub Baseball Team will take the field for their season opener later this (Monday) evening.

The Cubs will open up the season on the road against the Friendswood Mustangs beginning at 5pm. KWHI will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 4:35pm.

After missing the playoffs last season, Brenham is hoping to return to playoff form.

With only four seniors on the team, the Cubs will have to rely on younger players to step up and contribute.

Friendswood is coming off a year where they won their district last season, and made it to the third round of the playoffs.

This is the first of two meetings between the teams this season. They will face off again at Fireman's Park next Tuesday, February 27, at 5pm.
