It’s rather unfortunate that Washington County voters essentially have to forfeit having a say in contested and important Democratic judicial primary races in order to weigh in on who their local sheriff and DA will be.
Same dilemma in Austin County where I opted to vote in the Democratic Primary due to all the contested judicial races while depriving myself of the opportunity to vote for Stan Kitzman, whose primary opponent was less qualified.
As an independent voter and an engaged citizen, I would have enjoyed voting in both primaries where I could have cast votes for all the best candidates, regardless of party affiliation. Politics has become far too tribal, and some people seem to have lost the good manners I am sure their mothers must have taught them over their political views. Surely we are better than this.
Where do we find all the other results?
