BRENHAM POLICE: MISSING TEEN FOUND UNHARMED IN HOUSTON AREA

The Brenham Police Department says a missing 16-year-old girl has been found safe.

In a release today (Friday), police say the teenager who was reported as a runaway on February 10th was located unharmed in the greater Houston area by the Houston Police Department.  The juvenile was released to her next of kin.

The Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley sent out the original missing person notice on Monday, February 26th.  The notice was upgraded to an Endangered Missing Child Advisory on Friday, March 1st

The Brenham Police Department thanks the Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley and its law enforcement partners for their assistance in this case.

Because the juvenile was found safe, the city did not name the individual in the release in order to protect her identity.

  1. Very glad she was found safe and alive !! These kids do not understand the danger ,

  2. I guess the city forgot that they released her name, which was published on this website in the Amber Alert, on March 4?

  3. Well. Good. That’s a beautiful think. But what about people looking out for the missing. And don’t know who we looked for. I think that’s wrong. Let me know what y’all think. I believe that’s not what the amber alert is all about.
