FOUR PEOPLE ARRESTED SATURDAY

Four people were arrested Saturday be the Brenham Police Department.

They report that early Saturday morning at 2:50, Officers responded to the 1800 block of Old Chappell Hill Road in reference to a crash. Upon arrival, Investigation revealed that the driver, Eric Gutierrez, 25 of Brenham, was highly intoxicated. When Officers placed Gutierrez into custody, he attempted to flee from them on foot and assaulted an officer by kicking them. He was charged with Assault Public Servant, Driving While Intoxicated, Evading Arrest Detention, and for Resisting Arrest Search or Transport. Gutierrez was transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in and released to jail staff.

Then Saturday morning at 9:15, Officer Lauren Vieceli conducted a traffic stop at the 2100 block of Highway 290 West.  A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle, and marijuana was located. The driver, Demitri Isaiah Drayton, 21 of Cedar Park, was placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

Then Saturday afternoon at 1:25, Officers responded to a business located in the 1500 block of South Market Street in reference to suspicious activity. Upon officers’ arrival, it was discovered someone had broken a window to one of the businesses. Initial investigation revealed no property was stolen. Information was gathered for a report.

Then Saturday afternoon at 4:10, Sergeant Jose Perez responded to the 2600 block of Highway 36 South in reference to a reckless driver. Upon arrival, standardized field sobriety test revealed that the driver, Justin Powell, 31 of Chappell Hill, was intoxicated. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed Powell to be in possession of Methamphetamines. Powell was placed in custody for Driving while Intoxicated, 2nd offence, and an active warrant and for Possession of Controlled Substance. Powell was transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.

Then Saturday night at 10:40, Officer Nicolas Conforti initiated a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Highway 290 West. A probable cause search led to the driver; Donte Tavion Lindsey, 25 of Pflugerville, being arrested. He was booked into the Washington County Jail and charged with Possession Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.
