GOV. ABBOTT RETURNS TO BRENHAM FOR BLOCK WALK

Abbott, who addressed supporters at an event at the Ant Street Inn in February, joined House District 12 Republican candidate Trey Wharton for a block walk event in the neighborhood on Corey and Victoria Streets, visiting houses and encouraging residents to vote.
Abbott, who has endorsed Wharton for election to the House District 12 seat, spoke about his backing of Wharton and his appreciation of the work done by District 18 State Senator Lois Kolkhorst, who was also present at the block walk.
Wharton faces Ben Bius in the primary runoff, set for May 28th. The winner between the two will face Democrat Dee Howard Mullins and Libertarian Robert Profili in November.
Early voting will take place from May 20-24.
