SIX PEOPLE ARRESTED SATURDAY
Six people were arrested by Brenham Police Saturday.
They report that early Saturday morning at 12:50, Sergeant Ashley Burns responded to a report of reckless driver in the area of 290 West and Westwood Lane. The vehicle in question was located and the driver, Eliazar Moreno, 44, was taken into custody for Fleeing a Police Officer and Driving While Intoxicated with an open Alcohol Container.
Then early Saturday morning at 2:25, Officer Vieceli responded to a report of Reckless Driving on Highway 290 West. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle violation. The driver, Darwin Javier Fernandez Claros, 29 of Kyle, was found to be intoxicated while operating a motor vehicle. Claros was placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd offence.
Then Saturday afternoon 5:00, Officer Vieceli conducted a traffic stop at the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street for a vehicle violation. The driver, Alex Jay Garza, 21 of Chappell Hill, was found to have two active warrants out of Kleberg County Sheriff's Office. Garza was placed under arrest and was transported to the Washington County Jail.
Then Saturday evening at 8:05, Officer Conforti conducted a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Highway 290 West. Investigation led to the arrest of the driver, Lavell James Bryant, 38 of Bastrop. He was booked into the Washington County Jail and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Then Saturday night at 9:45, Officer Matthew Brown initiated a traffic stop in the 1100 Block of Highway 290 West. A consent search led to the driver, Javier Gonzalez, 22 of The Woodlands, being arrested. He was booked into the Washington County Jail and charged with Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz, and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Then Saturday night at 11:35, Officer Vieceli and Sergeant Burns conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle violation in the 2700 block of State Highway 36 South. The driver, James Patrick Bugaj, 65 of Bellville, was found to be intoxicated while operating a motor vehicle. Bugaj was placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in for Driving While Intoxicated.
