Brookshire Brothers’ longtime store director in Brenham has announced his retirement.

David Majewski is retiring after 55 years of service with Brookshire Brothers, including 50 as director of the Brenham grocery store.

A retirement party will be held on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Brenham VFW Hall, 1200 East Tom Green Street. 

Customers and friends are invited to the come-and-go celebration to congratulate Majewski and wish him well in retirement.

  6. David will be greatly missed at the store. I’ve watch his leadership style and customer interaction over the years and have come to the conclusion that he had it down right. Lead by example. Enjoy the retirement you surely earned it. He reminds of the quote You can tell the true value of someone by the way they treat their spouse,their subordinates, and people that can’t do a thing for them.
