LEE COUNTY FAIR BEGINS THIS COMING WEEK
The City of Giddings is getting ready for the annual Lee County Fair, which will feature all kinds of festivities.
The Lee County Fair Queens Pageant is being held tomorrow (Sunday) at 6pm at the Giddings High School Auditorium.
Then, on Thursday, the Mighty Thomas Carnival will open at 5pm. The evening caps off with music by D.J. Big Ant from 7-11pm.
Friday is going to be Senior Citizen’s Day at the Fair. They will have bingo at 10:30am, followed by lunch at 11:30am. The La Grange Roadrunners are having a square dance demonstration at 1pm, plus there will be a 42 Domino Tournament.
The musical entertainment that evening on the Main Stage is going to be Crossroads from 7:30-9:30pm. They’ll be followed by the headliners, Dos Borrachos, Kevin Fowler and Roger Creager.
Next Saturday begins with the Armed Forces Ceremonies at Veterans Park at 9am. There is a car show at 10am. The official fair parade kicks off at 11am.
They will also be having multiple cookoffs, kids’ activities, and a dad’s joke-off competition. Music on the Main Stage will feature the Original Remnants at 7pm, followed by Texas’ Premier 80’s Tribute Band, LC Rocks, at 10pm.
The Lee County Fair has season passes available for $30, which gets you in to all three nights. Meanwhile, day passes are $5 on Thursday, and $20 each on Friday and Saturday.
