BURTON MAN CHARGED WITH THEFT, RESISTING ARREST

A Burton man was arrested Friday, charged with shoplifting.
Brenham Police report that Friday afternoon at 5:40, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a shoplifting call. Upon further investigation, Brandon Patterson, 33 of Burton, walked past the point of sale with stolen items. Patterson resisted during the arrest when being placed into custody for Theft of Property less than $2,500 with 2 or more previous convictions. Patterson was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
