NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR BRENHAM ISD DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARDS
Brenham ISD is now accepting nominations for the 2024 Distinguished Alumni Awards.
The recognition celebrates the history and success of Brenham ISD schools and its alumni, with a special luncheon honoring the award recipients each September.
2023’s honorees were Wanda Smith, Bill Rankin, Beverly Hamilton-Roberts and Merle Picone.
Nomination forms can be found online at www.brenhamisd.net. They must be completed and submitted to the Brenham ISD Administration Office by June 24th.
Any nominations received after the deadline will not be considered for this year’s awards, but will be kept on file for five years for future consideration.
The distinguished alumni selection committee will focus on alumni who have demonstrated the character traits of leadership and service, with an emphasis on personal and professional success.
Consideration will be given to those who have shown active participation in community, state, or national activities; evidence of lasting contribution to an organization, business, or society in general; leadership ability; and distinction in personal life.
Selected alumni will be honored at the district’s 149th anniversary celebration at Blinn College on September 6th.
