Starting in September and continuing through July 2025, Unity Theatre will offer a range of comedies, dramas and musicals for all ages.

The new Main Stage season kicks off with “Always a Bridesmaid”, a comedy by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten.  The play runs from September 26 – October 13, following four friends who make a vow on the night of their senior prom to be bridesmaids for each other no matter what.

Next will be a holiday comedy by Julian Wiles, “Fruitcakes”, playing from December 5 – 22.  The play tells the story of a young runaway who finds refuge in a small town full of quirky characters who appear to be nuttier than fruitcakes.

First up next year will be “The Trip to Bountiful”, a drama from Horton Foote running February 6 – 23, 2025.  The play follows Carrie Watts, who is longing to visit her childhood home in Bountiful, Texas one last time and escape her son and domineering daughter-in-law.

Closing out the Main Stage season will be “Honky Tonk Angels”, a musical comedy by Ted Swindley.  Scheduled for June 5 – 22, 2025, the production follows three women on a musical journey as they chase their dreams of stardom in Nashville.

There will also be two Studio Series productions, starting off with “The Originalist” from October 24 – November 3.  The political drama written by John Strand explores the clash of ideologies between conservative Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and his new liberal law clerk.

After that will be “Embraceable Me”, a romantic comedy from Victor L. Cahn to play March 27 – April 6, 2025.  The play tells the story of two strangers who meet by chance and discover unexpected connections as they navigate the ups and downs of modern romance.
