CHAPPELL HILL FOURTH OF JULY PARADE WINNERS ANNOUNCED

  

Chappell Hill hosted its 47th Annual Independence Day Parade today (Thursday) in celebration of the Fourth of July.

Just under 40 entries rode through downtown Chappell Hill in the parade that also featured the World Famous Marching Kazoo Band.

Prize money was presented to the top parade participants.

First place was the Prairie Hillbillies, winning a $300 prize sponsored by Partners in Building.

Second place was Lorelei, LJ, Evan and Wyatt Mickelson and Tater Tot, receiving $175 sponsored by Kona Ice of Bellville.

Third place was the Chappell Hill Garden Club, winning $100 sponsored by Betty and Derrel Fogarty.

The Best Kids Entry was St. Paul’s Boy Scout Troop 742 and Cub Scout Pack 742, winning $100 sponsored by ADKR, Inc. – Angela Rutland.

Winning the Best Business Entry, receiving $100 from Brenham National Bank, was Diamond Texas Services.

The Best Classic Car Entry, and the winner of $100 sponsored by Whiz Motors, was Mark and Dorsey Shedd – DLS Interiors.
