BURTON CITY COUNCIL TO MEET ON TUESDAY

The Burton City Council is holding their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday evening.

Council members are going to be hearing a presentation from Hollie Janecka of Strand Associates. Strand Associates is one of the companies vying to be the City’s engineer on the Texas Water Development Board project. BEFCO Engineers is the other.

They will also be voting on the approval of Langford Community Management Services for Grant Administration Services, on the same project.

Other action items include a new security system for Burton City Hall, using funds from the Burton Beautification Committee to relocate the existing Flagpole at Laas-Weeren Park and extend the electric line for lighting, and amending budgets for the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 reflecting actual income and expenses of the first quarter.

Burton City Council members also have some recommendations from Olson and Olson that will be up for discussion only.  These include a simplified subdivision or land division ordinance, a ball park use agreement between the City of Burton and Burton Friends & Neighbors, and Laas Weeren Park Use & Rules.

The Burton City Council meets Tuesday at 5:30pm at the Burton City Hall.
