BRENHAM POLICE MAKE THREE DWI ARRESTS

  

The Brenham Police Department arrested three people on DWI charges over the weekend.

Shortly after 11 p.m. Friday, Officer Stephen Mosley responded to the 2900 block of South Blue Bell Road in reference to a welfare concern.  After investigation, 64-year-old Reuben Allen of Hempstead was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.

Around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to a crash in the 2300 block of South Market Street.  Investigation revealed that the driver, 32-year-old Ashley Taylor of Brenham, was intoxicated.  She was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Washington County Jail.

At 5:15 p.m. Sunday, Officer Bryan Morong responded to a call regarding a reckless driver in the vicinity of Highway 290 West and FM 389.  The caller reported the vehicle was failing to maintain a single lane, speeding up and then slowing down, and nearly hitting other vehicles on the highway.  The vehicle was found parked in a parking lot in the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street.  The driver was located and identified as 27-year-old Daniel Martinez Ramirez of Brenham, who was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated With a Child Under 15 Years of Age.  He was booked into the Washington County Jail and released to jail staff.
