BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS FOR MARIJUANA POSSESSION, DWI

  

Brenham police arrested one person Friday for marijuana possession and another early this (Monday) morning for DWI.

Around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sergeant Jose Perez conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Highway 290 West.  After a probable cause search of the vehicle, police found that the driver, 25-year-old Dillan Taylor of Spring, was in possession of marijuana.  Taylor was placed into custody for Possession of Marijuana Less Than 2oz. and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.

Then shortly before 12:30 a.m. today, Officers Brayten Rolling and Grayson Marburger stopped a vehicle in the 1200 block of West Main Street for a traffic violation.  The driver was identified as 49-year-old Marcus Nowicki of Ledbetter.  Standardized field sobriety tests were conducted, and Nowicki was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated.
