ROUND TOP-CARMINE SURVIVES FIVE SET THRILLER TO BEAT GIDDINGS

In other action, the Round Top-Carmine Cubettes defeated the Giddings Lady Buffaloes 3-2 last (Tuesday) night.

Giddings won the first set 25-20, RT-C won the next two sets 26-24 and 25-14, Giddings came back to take the fourth set 25-23, and then RT-C won the final set 15-10.

Madison Markwardt just missed another triple double. She had 10 kills, 16 digs, and 9 assists, to go along with 5 aces. Jill Eilers dished out 22 assists, had 16 digs, and 4 aces.

Tess Eilers led the offense with 12 kills, and also had 16 digs on defense. Jessica Rhode added 9 kills and 4 blocks.

The Cubettes are off this weekend. They will play again on Tuesday, August 27, against the Brazos Valley Christian Home Educators Association.
