BURTON LADY PANTHERS GO 2-1 ON FIRST DAY OF SCHULENBURG TOURNAMENT
The Burton Lady Panther Volleyball Team went 2-1 on the first day of the Schulenburg Tournament on Thursday.
In the first match of the day, Burton defeated Hallettsville in two straight sets 25-13 and 25-17. Amaya Williams and Lexi Broesche had six kills each. Adison Harmel had 16 assists, while Laci Broesche chipped in with 8 assists. Reagan Roemer led the defense with eight digs.
The Lady Panthers would then go on to beat Shiner 25-21 and 25-15 in the second match.
Burton would then wrap up the day with a 2-1 loss to East Bernard. East Bernard won the first set 25-19, the Lady Panthers came back to win the second set 25-14, but then East Bernard would win the deciding set 25-21.
Burton is back in action this (Friday) afternoon with three more matches. They will play Columbus at 2pm, Schulenburg at 5pm, and Flatonia at 6pm.
