In a press release this (Friday) morning, the Washington County Fair Association announced that due to “unforeseen circumstances and changes in management”, Travis Tritt and Tyler Reese Tritt will no longer headline at the fair on Saturday, September 21st

Now set to perform in their place will be Jon Stork opening for Carly Pearce.

Pearce is a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter who debuted with her album Every Little Thing in 2017.  Some of her top songs include “I Hope You’re Happy Now”, “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” and “What He Didn’t Do.”

Stork is described as a “RockyTonk” artist who blends honky-tonk grit with Southern soul while blurring the line between performer and storyteller.  A few of his top tracks are “Facts And Lies”, “Rodeo Blues” and “Radio Cowboy”.

Joining Pearce and Stork on the Washington County Fair lineup are the Texas Unlimited Band on Saturday, September 14th; De Parranda on Wednesday, September 18th; Jeff Woolsey and the Dancehall Kings on Thursday, September 19th; and Tanner Usrey opening for Pecos & The Rooftops on Friday, September 20th.

Season tickets for the fair can be purchased from any of the four fair queen candidates or at www.washingtoncofair.com

  1. I can still remember the great ole days of the county fair and entertainment that was brought in for the whole community to enjoy.
Now the people they get booked to play….mmm I don’t know about them. Usually some small bands I’ve never heard of. What ever happened to the good Nashville entertainment bands they used to get in years past. I guess it’s been nearly a few years or more since they’ve had some great bands come in. Now it doesn’t seem worth it to go anymore. Come on county fair board, book in some good bands and maybe more people will get in. They may cost more but they put on better shows.

  2. The Band of one of Washington County’s most Talented, Popular and most requested musicians will be playing at the Fair on Thursday, September 19th, for Senior’s Day. I did not see her listed in the line-up. Perhaps the seniors of Washington County are not considered important enough to mention.
