FAYETTE CO. FAIR OPENS THURSDAY

  

Tonight (Thursday) kicks off the 97th Annual Fayette County Fair.

The Fayette County Fairgrounds in La Grange will be open through Sunday for livestock activities, live music, carnival games and rides, and a queen’s pageant.

This evening’s opening ceremonies begin at 6:30 p.m.  The queen’s scholarship pageant will be held at 7 p.m., with music by Paul Schlesinger and the Alibis.

Tomorrow’s (Friday) performers will be DJ Luna MTY, The Bandits and Oscar Ayala. 

A parade will ride through downtown La Grange on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.  There will also be a clown show and a cornhole tournament.  Music will be provided by Ty Walker, the Black Cat Choir and Lonestar. 

The fair closes out on Sunday with another clown show and entertainment from Royce Reed – The Piano Man, Barditch Hippies and Rick Trevino.

Other activities on Saturday and Sunday will include a petting zoo, face painting, train rides, a wine event and mutton bustin’.

KTEX-106’s Country Cartwright will be broadcasting live from the parade Saturday morning, while Ryan Stone will broadcast live from the fair Saturday night.
