VISITATION AT FAYETTE CO. JAIL PAUSED TO REPAIR DAMAGES BY INMATE

Visitation at the Fayette County Jail is temporarily on hold.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office announced on Wednesday that in-person visitation for inmates is closed until further notice.

Fayette County Jail Administrator Holly Smith told KWHI that repairs are needed after the visitation room was damaged by an inmate.  According to Smith, the inmate damaged a window, creating a security risk.

Smith said a contractor has come out to the jail, and she expects repairs should be completed soon.

  1. Till further notice? Fixing a window is a simple day job. So u punish all the inmates and family’s for the act of one?? Gotta love the justice system in this county.

    1. Yes because they use a simple pain glass window… Think about it it’s a multi layer most likely ballistic window i don’t this they have those at home depot
