ALL CLEAR AFTER BOMB THREAT AT BRENHAM WHATABURGER

Brenham police have given the all-clear after a bomb threat this (Friday) afternoon at Whataburger.

Chief Lloyd Powell says officers were on scene around 2:30 p.m. after the department received a call from Whataburger reporting the threat, which came in by phone.

The restaurant was evacuated as the department surveyed the property with a robot and drone.  At around 3 p.m., the scene was cleared.

Powell said investigation is still being conducted into who called in the false threat.

Assisting at the scene were the Brenham Fire Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County EMS and the Washington County Precinct 1 Constable's Office.

  1. Bomb threat…really! I thought this joke was only pulled on school districts. So now it’s being done on restaurants? Really guys! You have nothing else better to do with your time except for something stupid like this, I suppose next they will drive by the restaurant and see respectable folks standing on the outside waiting for the go ahead to go back in all because you thought this was amusing.
This place has also been a great place to meet friends, eat and be happy. Grow up and get a job losers!
