CITY OF SOMERVILLE HIRES NEW CITY ADMINISTRATOR

  

The City of Somerville has hired a new city administrator.

At a called meeting on August 20th, the Somerville City Council unanimously approved the hiring of David Resendiz, who will begin his new position with the city next week. 

Resendiz is filling the vacancy being left by Danny Segundo, who is retiring.  Segundo will work together with Resendiz through the transition until his retirement in October. 

Resendiz was formerly the operations manager at WTX Frac in Gonzales.  He also worked as a senior manager for vehicle maintenance and administration for the City of Chicago. 

The annual salary for Resendiz will be $86,000.
