WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT REPORTS WEBSITE ISSUES RESOLVED

The Washington County Appraisal District website says recent issues affecting customers have been fixed.

A message on the Washington County Appraisal
District website Wednesday morning reads that the
property search and tax payment functions are
working again. The website previously stated that
those functions were having difficulties and
encouraged customers to call the appraisal district
office.

As of Tuesday afternoon, a message on the website read that the property search and tax payment functions were not working properly and encouraged residents to call the tax office with any questions or concerns.  This (Wednesday) morning, the website now reads that the property search and tax payment functions are working again.

Chief Appraiser Dyann White said this morning that the website was restored around 8 p.m. Tuesday.  She stated Tuesday afternoon that the appraisal district was working with the website provider, BIS, on any local issues that remained, and that the estimated time for resolution was “very soon”.

White shared an email sent Tuesday morning by the website provider, which indicated the problems were the result of a data center outage.  The email said a majority of services have been restored, and that BIS is actively coordinating with specific clients to address any remaining issues.
