ONE CALL THURSDAY, ONE EARLY FRIDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to one call on Thursday and one early this (Friday) morning.

A few minutes before 7:30 p.m. Thursday, firefighters were dispatched for a fire alarm at Prairie Lea Hall, 911 West Fifth Street on the Blinn College campus.  They made location to find the alarm sounding, but after checking the alarm system, it was determined to be a faulty smoke detector.  Units turned the scene over to the building’s maintenance department.

Shortly before 12:15 a.m. today, BFD members were called out to a crash in the 3400 block of Highway 105.  They found one vehicle with damage to the front and rear and fluids leaking.  Units provided traffic control, removed debris from the roadway and washed down the fluids.  Once the vehicle was removed from the roadway, the department returned to service.
