REGISTRATION FOR SCARECROW EXTRAVAGANZA ENDS FRIDAY
Tomorrow (Friday) is the final day to sign up to participate in Main Street Brenham’s 21st Annual Scarecrow Extravaganza.
Lutkenhaus, named the Best Overall entry in Main
Street Brenham's 2023 Scarecrow Extravaganza.
The event invites the public to usher in the fall season by creating colorful scarecrows to place around downtown Brenham. Registration is available at www.downtownbrenham.com.
Over $1,400 in cash prizes will be awarded to the winning entries. Categories include:
- Best Overall for $300, sponsored by Hermann Furniture.
- Most Votes for $200, sponsored by Christy Schlottmann Farmers Insurance.
- Judges Choice for $200, sponsored by KTEX/KWHI.
- Best Fall Theme for $125, sponsored by The Pomegranate.
- Most Creative for $125, sponsored by The Laundry Event Hall.
- Most Educational for $125, sponsored by Kay Robbins Remax.
- Silliest for $125, sponsored by Jet Set Chocolates.
- Cutest for $125, sponsored by Old 300 Title Brenham.
- Honorable Mention for $100, sponsored by Ant Street Inn.
Scarecrows must be set up in downtown by September 30th. Voting begins on October 1st at sponsoring locations and runs through October 24th. Winners will be announced on October 29th.
