SUSPECT IN DEADLY BRENHAM SHOOTING INDICTED BY WASHINGTON CO. GRAND JURY

A 17-year-old charged in connection to a fatal shooting in Brenham in April 2023 was indicted on Tuesday by the Washington County Grand Jury.

Jotore Jamichael Eulee Moore of Washington was indicted for Murder in the death of 17-year-old Marquis Williams, following a shooting outside the VFW Hall on April 1, 2023.

Moore, who was 16 at the time, was originally detained in May 2023.  He was certified in June 2024 to be tried as an adult.

Moore’s indictment was one of 46 returned by the Grand Jury this week.  The other indictments include:

20-year-old Javorian Deshaun Jones of Brenham, for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Deadly Conduct – Discharge of a Firearm, and Evading Arrest with a Vehicle.

32-year-old Courtney Shanique Williams of Brenham, for Burglary of a Habitation.

40-year-old Isaac Deleon of Houston, for Assault of a Peace Officer or Judge.

20-year-old Aaron Albert Moreno of Brenham and 20-year-old Favian Sanchez of Brenham, both indicted for Possession of Marijuana 5 – 50 lbs., Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Money Laundering $2,500 – $30,000.  Moreno was also indicted for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

64-year-old Francisco Horacio Cantu Jr. of Brenham, for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath or Circulation and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

27-year-old Javarri Ty’re Earnest Brown of Brenham, for Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information Under 5 Items, Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information Under 5 Items – Elderly, and Forgery Against the Elderly.

48-year-old Jerry Alvin Bertleson of Taylor, for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath or Circulation.

39-year-old Gloria Michele Martinez Cruz of Brenham, for Injury to a Child.

34-year-old Kendrick Jamar Cross of Brenham, for Stalking.

31-year-old Trevon Latrell Andres of Houston and 31-year-old Erika Janee Erwin of Houston, both indicted for Abandoning or Endangering a Child and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

43-year-old Damyan T. Porter of Beaumont, for Forgery of a Government Record.

33-year-old Zachary Edward Toner of Brenham, for Abandoning or Endangering a Child.

19-year-old Jorge Perez Jr. of Brenham, for Evading Arrest with a Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

63-year-old Abel Flores Gonzalez of Burton, for Attempted Tampering with Physical Evidence.

35-year-old Laura Gonzalez of Tomball, for Evading Arrest with a Vehicle.

24-year-old Gehrig Graham of Austin, for two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Six others were indicted for Possession of a Controlled Substance.  They are 44-year-old Darlene Patricia Graves of Brenham, 38-year-old Richard Knight Jr. of Chappell Hill, 30-year-old Logan Christopher Samford of Fort Worth, 61-year-old Leslie Letbetter of Houston, 40-year-old Lisa Margaret Smith Morales of San Antonio, and 38-year-old Jacqueline Rohrick of Houston.
