CHAPPELL HILL VFD RESPONDS TO ACCIDENT THURSDAY

The Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department responded to an accident Thursday night involving an 18-wheeler and a passenger car.

Around 9:45 p.m., firefighters were called to a crash without entrapment in the 8100 block of Highway 290 East.  They arrived at the scene of a two-vehicle accident and determined that the semi had struck one of the car’s doors with the trailer’s tires.

Units checked the vehicles for fluids leaking, but did not find any.  They then set up traffic control for scene safety until they were released from the scene by DPS.
