BRENHAM PLANNING & ZONING TO HEAR TWO ITEMS MONDAY

The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission will hear two items in regular session at its meeting on Monday.

The first is a request from Janet Long to replat a 16.44-acre lot at 1202 Shepard Street, which currently consists of a single-family home and vacant land.  Long is looking to subdivide the residential property into two lots, one of 15.31 acres and another of 1.12 acres, for further development.

Next will be a request from Garrett Salmans and Ronda Kilburn, who recently purchased 6.64 acres at 1733 Burleson Street with plans to build a single-family home, but the property does not have immediate and direct access to a public right-of-way or private road.  The applicants are seeking a variance to remove the requirement to have property frontage on a public right-of-way.

City staff recommends approval of both items.

The Commission will meet Monday at 5:15 p.m. at Brenham City Hall.
