He also ran track his junior and senior years, and advanced to the regional meet twice.

Jeremy Hall
Hall was a mainstay in the Cubs’ secondary from 2007-09.
A three-year varsity starter at free safety, Hall led the Cubs’ defensive backfield his junior and senior year with four and seven interceptions, respectively.
Hall shined the most during the playoffs his senior season. All four of his interceptions during the playoffs came during the closing minutes of the fourth quarter, including one against Kerrville Tivy in the Cubs' 31-21 state semifinal victory.
He was honored with a spot on the 2009 Texas Sports Writers Association Class 4A all-state first team as a defensive back.
After helping lead the Brenham Cubs to the Class 4A Division II state football finals in 2009, Hall turned his attention to basketball. Once basketball season ended in the regional semifinals, he grabbed his glove and headed out to the baseball diamond, Where Hall was a first-team all-district selection for the 2010 state champion Cub baseball team.
Hall signed a scholarship with the University of Texas-San Antonio, where he played football and baseball.
Brandon Collins
Collins, a 2007 graduate of Brenham High School, grew up with basketball coaches as parents, initially dreaming of a professional basketball career. After giving football a try, he shifted his focus and became a standout athlete.
He was a three-year letterman in football, track, and basketball, earning first-team all-district honors in football during his sophomore, junior, and senior years.
Following his senior year, Collins was named all-state, an all-American, and played in the East/West Under Armour All-American Game, recording six catches for 80 yards and one touchdown.
Collins set records at Brenham, including 99 career receptions for 1,893 yards and 29 touchdowns, becoming the school's all-time leading receiver. He also posted 14 interceptions on defense, returning four for touchdowns.
He was the first receiver in school history to surpass 1,000 yards in a season, with 1,081 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2006. One of his most memorable moments came during his junior year when he became the first player in Brenham history to score three different ways in a single game.
Collins received more than 25 Division I offers and chose to play at the University of Texas, where he appeared in seven games as a freshman and contributed to the team’s victory in the Holiday Bowl. As a sophomore, he played in 12 games, caught 38 passes for 430 yards, and helped his team win the Fiesta Bowl with seven catches for 60 yards. He also coaches a non-profit 7-7 team called, The 979 with players from all over the Brazos Valley. Collins is a mortgage broker and lives in Navasota, with his girlfriend and his two children.
2009 Brenham Cubs
The 2009 Cubs, led by head coach Glen West, went 13-3 on the season and shared the district championship with Huntsville after going 6-1 in league play.
A 15-14 loss to Waller in the regular-season finale was just the jump-start the team needed on its way to the state title game.
Brenham went on to beat Manor, Port Neches-Groves, Angleton, and Dayton to claim the regional title before defeating Johnny Manziel and the Kerrville Tivy Antlers to send the Cubs to the state finals for just the second time in program history. Brenham fell to Aledo 35-21 in the Class 4A Division II state championship.
Michael Walker was named the District 18-4A defensive MVP and West was named the district’s coach of the year as 18 different Cubs earned 19 spots on the all-district list.
Walker and fellow defensive leader Jeremy Hall were honored with spots on the Texas Sports Writers Association Class 4A all-state team. Hall was a first-team defensive back while Walker was a third-team linebacker.
