CITY OF BRENHAM ISSUES $2.68 MILLION IN SEPTEMBER BUILDING PERMITS

Residential construction made up the vast majority of the permits, as 18 of the 21 permits issued for the month were for either new homes, remodels or additions. 

Seven new homes were permitted for $1,662,154, including the largest permit of the month at $475,250 for a new residence on Oak Hollow Lane.  So far this year, 95 homes have been permitted for $15,889,862.

One non-residential permit of note went to Del Sol Food Company, 3015 South Blue Bell Road, issued for $110,000 for interior remodeling of the main office building and adding cooler space.

The city issued fewer permits this September than it did in September 2023, which logged 36 permits.  However, the total value for those permits last September was lower, at $2,173,669.

So far this year, the city has issued 246 permits worth $38,266,195.  In comparison, this time last year had 300 permits taken out for $30,107,557.
