ST. MARKS PROPERTY IN LA GRANGE HAS A NEW OWNER

The property of defunct St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange has a brand-new owner.

The new owner is Mark Young Sr., who is a real estate broker and ordained minister from Atlanta, Georgia.

Young purchased the property at an auction after making the highest bid, which was just over $806,000.

St. Mark’s was forced to close its doors back in October 2023 after defaulting on its mortgage debt.

HUD took over ownership, and put it up for auction.

According to the Fayette County Record, the actual loan amount owed by St. Mark’s was over $12.1 million, so Young’s bid ended up only covering 6.6% of the loan.

The transaction occurred as part of a 10-loan sale back on August 21. St. Mark’s was the only Texas property in the auction, and the only property purchased by Young.

Young has worked in real estate brokerage and land development since 1978. He is currently the president and managing broker of Argent Solutions LLC, where he oversees default administration and brokerage activities, including property management.

The Record furthered stated that in his career, Young has been directly involved in the purchase, sale, and/or brokerage of well over 15,000 acres, with a market value in excess of $200 million.

  1. Most CEOs make more than that in a year at any hospital. What a slap in the face. Our politicians have failed us! We have been scammed so bad for so long. Enjoy your trip to the big city for health care waiting in line with all the illegal migrants. Wake up people all this started with Obama Care!
