Among those accepting applications are the Historic Preservation Board, the Police Citizens Advisory Board, and the Tourism Board.

According to press release by the City of Brenham, community members who serve on the boards and committees provide an invaluable service by assisting the City Council and City Staff with developing recommendations on important policy matters.

They also say that participation on an advisory body is an excellent way to get involved in the community and local government.

The deadline to submit an application to serve on one of the boards is Friday, October 18, at 5pm.
