BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL HOMECOMING PARADE WEDNESDAY
Brenham High School’s homecoming festivities continue tonight (Wednesday) with the annual parade through downtown Brenham.
The parade starts at 6 p.m. and will have a theme of “There’s No Place Like Homecoming”. Participants can either follow the yellow brick road and use anything from “The Wizard of Oz” or pay homage to what makes Brenham special.
Floats in the parade will ride down Main Street before turning onto Austin Street and then Alamo Street.
KWHI will have live coverage of the parade beginning around 5:45 p.m. on AM 1280, FM 101.7 and kwhi.com. There will also be a livestream on the KWHI Facebook page.
The winners of a judging contest for the best parade entries will be announced at Friday’s football game between the Brenham Cubs and the Waco Lions. The homecoming royalty will also be crowned at the game during halftime. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Cub Stadium, with 6:30 p.m. pregame on KWHI.
