LICKSKILLET DAYS FESTIVAL IN FAYETTEVILLE OCT. 19-20

  

The Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce is getting ready to host the 47th Annual Lickskillet Days Festival.

The celebration starts on Thursday, October 17th with the Lickskillet Queen’s Pageant at 6:30 p.m. in the Fayetteville ISD Cafetorium.  The fun continues in downtown Fayetteville on Saturday and Sunday, October 19th and 20th, with shopping, live music, live and silent auctions and kids’ activities.

Vendor booths will open at noon on Saturday.  Hamburgers and drinks will be served in the afternoon, and the Zach Walther Band will entertain beginning at 7 p.m.

Sunday will begin at 9 a.m. with a morning coffee and bake sale.  There will also be a silent auction, and ARTS for Rural Texas will be on-site.

The Lickskillet Parade takes place at 10:30 a.m.  After that, a barbecue dinner will be served for $15 per meal.  Tickets can be purchased in advance at Fayetteville Bank, Joe’s Place and Orsak’s Café.

At noon, the Lickskillet Queen’s Court will be introduced, and Czech singers and dancers will perform.  A live auction gets underway at 12:45 p.m.

Proceeds from the event support future Greater Fayetteville Chamber activities and community projects.
