BLINN BOARD TO SWEAR IN NEW MEMBER

Richard O'Malley

The Blinn College Board of Trustees will be swearing in a new member at their next meeting on Tuesday morning.

Richard O’Malley will be sworn in to fill the At-Large Position 1 seat that had been occupied by Charles Moser.

Moser announced at last month’s meeting that he was stepping down after nine years on the board.

O’Malley will fill the seat through the remainder of Moser’s term, which expires in May 2025.

O’Malley retired back in January after a 16-year career with Blinn, serving most recently as the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Facilities, Planning and Construction.

The only action item on the agenda is for board members to approve authorizing the administration to negotiate and execute a contract for general contractor services for flooring replacement at Hallstein Hall on the Brenham campus.

The trustees will also hear the monthly administrative report from Blinn Chancellor Dr. Mary Hensley, and the financial report from Vice Chancellor Dr. Clen Burton.

Michael Schaefer, who is the board chairman of the Blinn College Foundation, will also be hand to present their annual report.

The Blinn College Board of Trustees meets Tuesday at 10am at the Brenham Campus Administration Building.
