MILL CREEK WATERSHED CLEANUP EVENT NOV. 9

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Mill Creek Watershed Partnership will hold the annual Mill Creek Cleanup Event on November 9th in Bleiblerville.

Landowners with property inside the Mill Creek Watershed are invited to take advantage of a sponsored dumpster to remove waste from their section of Mill Creek.  Because much of the Mill Creek Watershed is privately owned, the event relies on landowner involvement.

Participants can pick up cleaning supplies, such as trash bags and gloves, at either the Washington County Extension Office, 1305 East Blue Bell Road in Brenham, or the Austin County Extension Office, 800 East Wendt Street in Bellville, during business hours between October 28th and November 8th

The dumpster will be located at the Bleiblerville Volunteer Fire Department, 3342 FM 2502, and will be available from 9 a.m. to noon on November 9th

Mill Creek Watershed Coordinator Annalee Epps says the event provides landowners an opportunity to get rid of waste that has washed onto their property.

Registration is required and can be completed by contacting Epps at 979-321-5921 or millcreek@ag.tamu.edu.  For more information, go online to https://millcreek.tamu.edu
