ONE CALL THURSDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department had one call for the day on Thursday.
Shortly after 11:30 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to Highway 290 West and South Day Street for a smoke investigation.
Units arrived to find a small fire burning on the side of the road. They used tank water to extinguish the fire and returned to service.
