ONE ARRESTED IN FATAL STABBING IN GRIMES CO.

  

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office has taken one person into custody following a fatal stabbing early Friday morning.

The sheriff’s office says deputies responded just after midnight to the 5000 block of Hickory Hill Road, located south of Highway 249 between Navasota and Todd Mission.

At the scene, deputies confirmed a stabbing had taken place.  A man in his early 20s was taken to the hospital in Navasota and then flown to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The sheriff’s office says one woman was arrested.  The suspect and the victim have not been identified.

The incident remains under investigation with the sheriff’s office, Grimes County District Attorney’s Office and the Texas Rangers.
