BURTON TO HOST IOLA IN FIRST GAME ON NEW FIELD
An evening that the Burton Panthers and their fans have been waiting for three years for takes place tonight (Friday).
The Panthers are going to face Iola in the Homecoming Game, which will also be the first game on their new field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
Burton is 5-3 on the season, and 4-1 in district, which puts them in a tie with Granger for second place. Iola is 4-4 overall and 3-2 in district, which puts them in fourth place.
Pre-sale tickets are still available 8am-4pm today (Friday) at the Burton ISD Central Administration Office at 701 North Railroad Street. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students, cash only.
Tickets will be available at the gate, but they encourage everyone to try to buy them in advance. The gates are scheduled to open at 5:30pm.
In regards to parking, Burton ISD said only vehicles with a handicap placard and event staff will be allowed to park within the stadium gate. They ask that fans please do not park by the school or along the sides of streets.
All home and visiting fans must park in the fields behind the Burton Cotton Gin at 307 North Main Street. Fans will have the option to ride a bus to and from the parking lot. ATVs will be available for those that are handicapped, and those not able to load on a bus. Fans can also walk if they choose to do so.
Concessions and restrooms will also be available.

Somerville was supposed to face McDade, but McDade had to forfeit due to a lack of available players.
