EARLY VOTING SURPASSES 55% IN WASHINGTON COUNTY

Early voting for the November 5th General Election came to an end on Friday with 1,139 registered voters casting their ballots.

The total wrapped up a second week of early voting, which saw 5,216 people make their voices heard at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.

The first week saw 7,463 early ballots cast, while 1,696 were cast during the weekend early voting hours.

For the two-week period, Washington County saw 14,375 cast early ballots, which comes to 55% of registered voters.

That number is well ahead of the last two Presidential Elections, which saw 6,999 early voters in 2020, and 9,204 early voters in 2016.

Any voters that did not cast an early ballot will now have to wait until Election Day on Tuesday.  The polls will be open from 7am-7pm.

KWHI will live coverage on Election Night beginning after the polls close at 7pm.
