FAITH MISSION SMART-CARE NAMES SHINING STARS FOR OCTOBER
Faith Mission’s SMART-CARE Kids program has announced their Shining Stars for the Month of October.
The program, which has a mantra of being “a positive place in a negative world,” uses these awards to provide positive reinforcement for Attendance, Attitude, and Action.
The Shining Star winners are Jasmine Franklin for Attendance, De Asia Taylor for Action, and Aliviah Wong for Attitude.
Each student receives a certificate and a gift from the SMART Treasure Box.
The students are also paired with a one-on-one mentor through the B-Famous Program with Blinn College.
The Mentor of the Month is Elizabeth Walton, a sophomore on the Buccaneer Women’s Basketball Team from Houston.
The final award given out was to Libby Kiecke, who was chosen as the Volunteer of the Month.
