TWO CALLS FRIDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department went out to two calls on Friday.
Shortly after 9:30 a.m., firefighters received a report of a gas odor at a location on Tison Street. The fire department and City of Brenham Gas Department arrived on scene. Fire personnel checked the area for a leak or smell, but were ultimately released from the scene by the gas department after investigation.
Around 5:30 p.m., BFD members responded to a fire alarm at the Brenham Schoolhouse Hotel, 600 East Alamo Street. They made location to find burnt food in the oven, so they ventilated the building and reset the fire alarm before returning to service.
